hostap_pci died with this error and the box shutdown:
wlan0: hfa84x_set_rid: CMDCODE_ACCESS_WRITE failed (res =- 110) hostap_pci: wlan0: resetting card
At that point the whole machine stopped!
I have WEP disabled. This was during an SSH transfer of a large file, but I've done so several times before (of the approximate size as well) without ever encountering this. The only difference in my setup now is I bridged wlan0 and eth2 (which connects to a wireless AP itself, but I doubt that's important).
I've also been getting these, but maybe this is routine:
Jul 1 04:19:04 rebecca kernel: wlan0: deauthentication: 00:06:25:a9:f7:da
Jul 1 04:24:05 rebecca kernel: wlan0: deauthentication: 00:06:25:a9:f7:da len=2, reason_code=3
Jul 1 04:29:06 rebecca kernel: wlan0: deauthentication: 00:06:25:a9:f7:da len=2, reason_code=3
I do have a DWL900AP (re: my previous posts) running on a different channel, and a single laptop with a Prism2 PC Card. No other wireless devices are in operation to my knowledge. So what's deauthenticating?
rebecca:/home/jasonb# ls /proc/net/prism2/wlan0/
00:06:25:a9:f7:da ap_debug pda rids unknown_rids ap_control debug registers stats wds
My Prism2.5 card, perhaps?
rebecca:/home/jasonb# cat /proc/net/prism2/wlan0/ap_control
MAC policy: open
MAC entries: 0
But I digress...
Anyway -- any ideas why my hostap_pci module crashed?
