Which versions of the driver, pcmcia-cs, and Linux kernel are you using? Are you using kernel-tree pcmcia modules or external pcmcia-cs package?

I get following info with Host AP driver 2002-05-16 and pcmcia-cs 3.1.33:
Socket 0: Compaq WL200
0 network hostap_cs 0 wlan0
and cardmgr executes network script:
cardmgr[2128]: executing: './network start wlan0'
I haven't tested with two cards and having hostap_cs using socket 1, but at least on socket 0 it seems to be working fine.
