I'm still having problems with the hostap driver not being configured
automatically by the pcmcia system (ie. ./network start wlan0) when it
detects the card and loads the module etc. "prism2" worked fine.
Looking at /var/lib/pcmcia/stab:
Socket 0: 3Com 589 Ethernet
0 network 3c589_cs 0 eth0
Socket 1: ZoomAir 4100 11Mb/s WLAN Card
1 network hostap_cs 0
it doesn't seem that a network device is being registered with the cardmgr - no wonder it doesn't even try to set it going.
As opposed to under prism2:
Socket 0: 3Com 589 Ethernet
0 network 3c589_cs 0 eth0
Socket 1: ZoomAir 4100 11Mb/s WLAN Card
1 network prism2 0 wlan0
Presumably it's somewhere in hostap_cs.c, in prism2_config.
