This looks fine. New version of the driver requires that wlan# is set up for the management messages. Your card seem to be receiving authentication frames correctly, so just run 'ifconfig wlan0 up' and it should be able to reply to them. Adhoc/Managed mode failures do not sound were promising, but at least this piece of log looks OK.
