RangeLAN-DS WLAN Card

Greetings:

Following is the configuraiton I compiled along with the Host AP driver:

  1. Kernel 2.4.18
  2. built-in cs support
  3. Host AP driver - Prism 2 5/19/2002 driver
  4. Latest wireless utilities

The card is recognized in the PCMCIA slot by the card services. When I perform:

$ iwconfig wlan0
Mode: Master ....
....

$ifconfig -a
eth0
...

irlan0
...

lo
...

wlan0
...

"/var/log/messages" appears to be normal and no errors are reported.

However, the LED on the card is blinking green and solid amber. Is this normal? I am bit confused about the blinking green and wanted to ping others if the behavior is normal for AP mode.

BTW, the entry for RangeLAN is missing from the /etc/pcmcia/hostap_cs.conf file:

card "PROXIM RangeLAN-DS/LAN PC CARD"

           manfid 0x0126, 0x8000
           bind "hostap_cs"

I would really appreciate if someone can answer my query on the blinking green LED. Why is it happening?

regards,

Bobby Sardana.
