Have you checked that interrupts from D-Link card are delivered to Host AP driver? Does the counter for wlan0 interrupt increase in /proc/interrupts when you send packets from the other host? Did the association succeed when the card was is Master mode (i.e., does 'dmesg' show debug messages about authentication and association and is there /proc/net/prism2/wlan0/<station MAC addr> file)?
