Unfortunately, that is not exactly the case.. Firmware code seems to prevent this. I can send identical frames in WDS mode (i.e., 'Repeater'), but firmware does not pass incoming WDS frames to broadcast RA to the host at all so these frames cannot be received. Interesting enough, Host AP mode does receive the frames, but then again, it cannot send IEEE 802.11 compliant WDS frames..
In other words, WDS mode can be used to send DWL900AP-like WDS frames and Host AP mode can be used to receive them.. Not really ideal solution. Anyway, I modified Host AP driver to accept WDS frames (both standard-compliant and non-standard format) to broadcast RA/BSSID. In addition, there is a new prism2_param (wds_type) that can be used to configure whether broadcast frames to WDS link are sent using unicast to the other end (0) or using broadcast RA/BSSID (1). There might be some use for these at some point, but apparently firmware fixes would be required to make bidirectional connection to DWL900AP PtP link with one Prism2 card..
