Have a few FAQ type questions. Apology for the unabashed display of ignorance.

1. What is the Host AP mode ? Is the Host AP mode supported in all Intersil Prism products ?
2. How is it different from the AP's that can be bought from D-Link and Linksys ? (i.e. any functionality that can not be supported in the Host AP mode ) ?
3. Is it possible to build a full featured AP with the Host AP mode ? If not, why ?
4. Does Intersil encourage, discourage, or ignore the use of the Host AP mode ?
