I put the WMP11 with firmware 1.4.9 in a Linux 2.4-18 box with Prism2-2002-05-19 and still only see 2Mbps on the hostap side. Do I need to grab the CVS version to get the fix that you are referring to? Otherwise, everything looks good. Thanks!
