Not all D-Link DWL-650 cards are Prism2.5 based.. I have one with NICID 0x8008 and I do not think it is Prism2.5. The ones with NICID 0x800c could be Prism2.5 based, although Intersil documents seem to use "PRISM II PCMCIA" description for 0x800c.

NICID or open the card and check which MAC chip it uses..

It seems to work fine also with Prism2.5 as well as Prism3.
