proc problems

Hi,
I am running the 2002-05-02 version of hostap_cs with a proxim wireless card. It is running with pcmcia-cs 3.1.33 and kernel 2.4.18. The problem is that /proc/net/prism2 is there, but nothing under it. The full tree was created one time, but not again. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks,
