Re: nothing in "iwconfig"

hello, I just got on the list couple of days ago... meaning I "just" got the thing working...

It looks like this might be the problem:

  1. having wlan-ng previously *does* matter, but not as long as you're not still loading the wlan-ng driver instead of the new host-ap driver. I had to end up deleting the wlan-ng.conf from the /etc/pcmcia directory to keep the pcmcia_cs.o module from loading instead of the pcmcia.o (the new one).

check via 'lsmod' and see if pcmcia_cs.o is still loading for your box...

that did the fix for me.
