I just wanted to know whether it needed anything special that could indicate some sort of registration protocol. If it is just the hwaddr of the other end, then the same thing can be configured for Host AP driver with iwpriv wds_add. In other words, everything should be fine for PtP. PtMP might either discover the other nodes or just simply broadcast everything (i.e., use WDS frames with ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff as the immediate recipient even for unicast frames). It could also act as a learning bridge so the unicast frames could be delivered to just one peer after having learned the proper location.
