I've never injected traffic, so I probably can't help with this.

You can download the CVS version of HostAP from the main page on the HostAP Web site. It'll give you a copy of the most recent CVS. You can then compile that and give it a try. The CVS version includes a few new modules, so you'll need to run "modprobe hostap_{pci,plx}" (or whatever you do to load the PCMCIA driver) to load it. Otherwise you'll get symbol missing errors.
