Thanks! I was going to take a closer look at the new WE API this weekend, so this will certainly free some time for taking a closer look at private ioctls and wireless events for AP scanning etc.

I'll have to do some testing first and I will then merge the changes into the driver. However, it looked like the patch would break at least permission checking for older kernels (the driver is still supposed to work with any Linux 2.2.x/2.4.x version), so this will change a bit.
