denied stations interferring?

i am using hostap_pci in conjunction with a firewalling bridge to my wired network - kernel 2.4.18-3, linksys pci adapter

i have setup my ap to only allow 2 macs (iwpriv wlan0 maccmd 1) to associate and most of the time everything works great. however at times the wireless connection really slows up and i see the following in the kernel logs. the macs are from the guy next door who happens to have a wireless network as well. if his stations become really talkative, could that slow up my connection? can i configure my ap so that it completely ignores other stations?

thanks in advance for any help. i am relatively new to all this.
