txpower > 100mW

the tx power code in hostap assumes that 20dBm (100mW) is the maximum available. 23dBm (200mW) Prism 2/2.5 cards now exist from several vendors.

On one hand, this is merely cosmetic. 200mW interfaces are reported as 100mW interfaces:

wlan0 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"musenki"
          Mode:Master Frequency:2.412GHz Access Point: 00:30:B4:01:0A:C4
          Tx-Power:20 dBm Sensitivity=1/3
          Retry min limit:8 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key:off
          Power Management:off
          Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:583680 Missed beacon:0

my concern is that there is no way to turn the power down on a 200mW card, and then to turn it back up.
